ARGOi Modelling Tool

ArgoUML is an object-oriented design tool based on UML. ARGOi is an extended version of ArgoUML that supports UMLi. ARGO does not provide plug-in facilities at the moment. Thus, you need to download the entire ARGOi environment from this site. The ARGOi code includes a modified version of the ArgoUML 0.8.1 API and Novosoft UML 0.4.8 API.

For Practitioners:

The installation of ARGOi is a straightforward 4 step process that provides the required information to install and run the tool. The step 3 of the installation process will ask for your e-mail address.

For ARGO Developers:

If you are an ARGO developer, we suggest the consultation of the ARGOi code implementation report. This document has an indication of every single modification or addition of ARGOi compared with ARGO. This document may be useless if you are an ARGO/ARGOi newcomer.

We have not yet implemented web facilities for distributing the ARGOi source code yet. However, you can ask for a copy of the code.

For ARGO Users:

Once ARGOi is installed, you may download a UMLi model to check the benefits of modelling interactive applications using UMLi. We anticipate that this model can be built using the standard UML only. However, this will probably be a hard task.
